Hayyy! I know we just had a pack meeting, but this is kinda important. It is NOT mandatory for you to post, but I would appreciate it if you did. Round 2 begins after a couple people have posted - when i feel like posting, because I wanna get Crux Grotto moved ASAP. Thanks :)

The evening seemed to have come faster than expected. The sun rose and sunk more quickly than he could remember seeing, seeming to gain a few more inches on its journey each time he looked. When Saosin had arrived back within Crux Grotto, Anberlin had decided that the pack would make the trek across the desert to their new home as soon as possible. That meant that that very day Anberlin would have to inform them of their new destination, allow them mere hours to process it before the morning would arrive and they would move on. He had located a Tornade Vassal and had them relay the message to Malati or Eleven; Anberlin barely had the time to scope out the ravine in search of a Tornado, let alone find its King or Queen.

Never the less, he knew he would have to return once Crux Grotto arrived at their new home to let their allies know they had made the journey safely. He wondered if they would even care too greatly? If they welcomed the idea of Crux Grotto leaving? Most likely. Anberlin shrugged it off and proceeded to move along the bank, towards the denning site; no. Rather, the spot where he had held a pack meeting only weeks earlier. The grey wolf found this place quickly and seated himself, throwing out a short, loud howl in hopes that his packmates would gather quickly so that Anberlin could give them the news.

saopuppy says :( kara made me a ridiculously short post

Saosin managed to completely fail in finding Aristole. No, the only thing he had managed to find was Cairo. Which only made him more depressed.

He came into the meeting with a small slouch, although he brightened enough to greet Anberlin with a "Hey."

He took his seat beside Anberlin, leaving enough room for Azalia and Quil to sit wherever they wanted. And all that was left to do, as usual, was to wait for the rest.

"sao talks!"

It was safe to say that Azalia had not shown an ounce of sorrow to her fellow pack mates about the loss of her former mate. To Nephy and Jos, yes, but not even to Anny has she expressed her sadness. Instead, Aza did what she was best at and smiled. The Betess had told only her alpha of Datorris’ death, not staying long to hear much of what he had to say. She wasn’t blind, she knew that Anny didn’t like Datorris, didn’t care if he was alive or dead. While it added more pain, she knew better than to show this, knew better than to show any of her pain.

Instead, Azalia carried on with her life without truly mourning the loss of her love and at the moment when Anberlin called a small meeting of sorts she was catching fish with like mindless drone so she wouldn’t break down. Immediately she perked her ears up and climbed out of the water, shaking off her semi-wet coat off before walked the short distance to where Saosin and Anberlin now waited. Very curious now, she gave them both a happy grin as she headed for her seat. "Hello hello guys." In time she knew Anny would confront the reason why he had called them all hear, so she simply kept her yellow gaze on the look out for not only others, but her own pups to see if they would show. The girl had been rummaging through the undergrowth when she heard Anberlin's call. While her mother was elsewhere, most likely fishing at the bank as she had seen her doing before she left, Josalyn was off searching for additions to their herb collection. As she usually was. By now she had gotten used to the bitter tastes and fragrances of the herbs she collected; she had memorized them by shape and size, by colour and by smell. She was fairly certain that among those skilled and knowledgeable in herbage, she was on the greater end of the stick. With her mother's teachings and her own natural curiosity, Josalyn figured she was well on her way to becoming a master in the art of medicine. She wondered, even, if it was worth moving on to become a full-fledged Medic - or to just remain situated in her rank.

But that thought was best left to be mulled over later, for Anberlin had announced himself and beckoned the pack to his presence. Josalyn promptly obeyed, picking up her pile of herbs and quickly making it to the denning site to drop them off at the den she shared with her mother, before turning and heading towards the gathering. Already three were gathered there - Anberlin, as expected, her mother, and... Saosin? Josalyn's eyes brightened as she quickened her pace, eager to reach them. Once she had, she had taken a seat before the three rather than with them. Quickly she glanced left and right, making sure she was not out of line by speaking so openly to the Beta before in fact speaking out. "Is Darin back yet?" She asked, wide-eyed, curious.

It wasn't so much that she was excited to hear about their mission. More so, she wanted to see Darin again, to hear it from him. He was her friend after all, and she enjoyed his company. She did have Natrium to be with her, yes, but Josalyn wouldn't mind the companionship of others either. Josalyn fell silent again as she awaited an answer and instead turned towards her mother. She looked to be fairing relatively well considering the recent circumstances. Josalyn allowed a small, weak smile to captivate her lips before turning back to Saosin.

Kalin was off wandering to find something to hunt a trace of so for dinner for the pack but she had only just begun when she heard Anberlin's call she had not been a part of the pack for a long time well very short time indeed but she knew what his call meant a Pack meeting. And Kalin new they just had one shortly before her and Nighthawk joined the pack well Kalin joined the pack per say and Nighthawk got permission to come back. And with a time frame so short like this Kalin new the one thing that would be the highlight of the evening Crux Grotto's new home.

Kalin was a good ways away from the bank and it was times like these she envied Anberlin’s size for the lung capacity it took for his howl to reach her ears still as high and mighty if she where right next to him. She began to run as fast as she could it was her first pack meeting she was excited but scared what if she made the wrong move but that was out of her mind as she reached the water. She carefully leapt stone to stone in a effort to be one of the first to be there she was so anxious to show her pack her loyalty and she could not help but have her tail wag a little bit as she placed her paws on the other side of the water.

She now began to trot her way to find Anberlin and the others for two reasons she was kind of tired from running her way here and that she did not want to look like a maniac when she took her place to listen what her alpha had to say. She spotted Anberlin first the Saosin. and then the other two female's that she was not met yet but was eager to. She could see one of the two females was sitting before the other female, Anberlin and Saosin so when she reached rather close she took a spot near the golden colored female in hope that she was sitting in the right spot for this meeting. Her tail began to wag a little more as she a waited the news for Crux Grottos home. "Hello" she stated to all of them as her tail stopped eager wagging.

"There is no gloom nor doom!"

Cairo had been trotting around, looking over the borders carefully and as accurately as he could. Yes, he knew that it wasn't the brunt of his duty, to be wandering around looking after the borders, but it was part of his job description. If he found an intruder, they would be dealt with accordingly. He was a Warrior, and part of that was making sure the borders were safe and the pack wasn't in danger.

Soon enough, he was distracted from his task by his Alpha, Anberlin. The call reached his ears easily, and the black wolf immediately bounded away from the borders, following the sound easily. He had had enough time to get a good enough feel for the land to know where he was going, and the fact that there were scents on the air was enough to lead him through the parts he was basically blind in.

Cairo's strong legs made short work of the journey to where his Alpha was located, simply because with every bound he was launching himself across the ground, making the most of his jumping ability. Slowing as he approached the group, dark teal eyes took in the group. Saosin and Anberlin were the first two he saw, and then came a lighter female, seated close to the pair. After that he spotted a golden girl, younger looking, perhaps a year or so. Finally came a dusty tan she wolf, and then himself.

"Anberlin, Saosin." He turned toward the trio of wolves that were seated fairly close to one another and dipped his head quickly, making certain that the she wolf was given the respect she deserved as well. Cairo was assuming that since she was seated near the Alpha, she had to be of a high rank as well. After that, he found a seat himself, curling his black tail around his paws to take up as little room as possible. He only knew two wolves in his new pack, and frankly, he felt a tad bit lonely at the moment. Everyone else seemed to know one another, while he was out in the cold. Stop it. You'll learn peoples' names soon enough, and make friends. Just make the best of it. He commanded himself, flicking his ears.

The last thing Gabriel had been expecting was a howl from Anberlin. It was short, but sweet. He was calling a meeting. She was slightly giddy inside...Her first meeting. She silently pondered its meaning as she walked the short distance to the bank from where she had been attempting to fish. She was getting better, really she was. Slowly learning that if the fish saw your shadow, they would scatter, and speed was definitely what you wanted to use. It felt good to be used, honestly. Very good. In time, she hoped she would be a good fisher, giving more to her new home than mere puddles of water on the earth.

As she approached the bank, she realized that she didn't actually know any of the wolves. It was a rather upsetting realization, but a true one, so she did her best to shuffle herself in. The outskirts was not for her. She wanted to know her new pack mates, so she wiggled in with them, then carefully trained her gaze upon her new alpha, nervously awaiting his announcements. She wasn't exactly sure how to feel actually. Many of her emotions were forced. Was she supposed to be nervous? No one else seemed nervous. The excitement was real, but she didn't want to seem giddy.

"Speech goes here!"

hurm. idk. kind of an awkward post, because he hasn't been here in awhile, and I haven't finished threads yet with his siblings, so I'm honestly not sure how he got here...so, i'm going to make it up. xDD;;

He'd found his way to Lamb's Bank with a word from his sister. The fire had taken out Goldfish Harbor, the Grotto's home, and they were living with Tornade, a pack he wasn't at all familiar with. Every nerve was on end as he crossed the scent boundary, the fur rising along his neck as he waited to be attacked. He'd heard Anberlin's howl a few miles off, and was happy to rejoin his pack at this moment. Whether or not they were happy that he was rejoining them was a different matter. He was sure that there were wolves there that had no idea who he was, and he knew he hadn't seen Anberlin or his mother in many months. He had to stop himself, and wonder if it was right for him to appear at this moment.

To step right into a pack meeting. What if a big deal was made out of his arrival? No. He couldn't handle that. He was only here to show them that he wasn't leaving again, or wandering away or anything, ever again. This was his home. He didn't want a big show to come out of it. But what if they left? He knew that this wasn't their real home. If he didn't show up now, what would he do if they moved? He could never find them again. What would he do? So, he began to walk again, pushing aside his fears of being coddled and noticed, and tried to focus on other things...But there wasn't much else to focus on.

He was a bit revealed that he didn't recognize many of the wolves as he approached the meeting. He tried to keep himself out of sight, which was hard among the light colored sand, though the trees and brush did help quite a bit. He kept a few yards away from the group, out of view of his sister and his mother, though his paws itched to run to her. He would wait until the meeting had ended and dispersed before he made himself known.

OOC: ((TABLE PSYCHEOUT MAN! YEAH.))

A loud howl rang through Laudatio's ears as the male laid down to sleep. But I just laid down! Ah well, I'd better go. Never keep the alpha waiting. The heavyset male yawned, then stretched and pulled himself to his feet. He started towards the location from which Anberlin's howl had come. This would be his first pack meeting, and the grey wolf did not want to screw it up. Keeping a brisk pace, Laudatio reached the bank in a short time.

The first thing that the wolf did was place himself in a location that, while being a respectful distance away from Crux Grotto's alpha, was not so far away that Anberlin would have a hard time identifying him. He then took a few moments to look around, and see what company he had. Near the alpha was a vivid, orange wolf. Laudatio was immediately reminded of fire. His location being so close to the scarred alpha caused Laudatio to assume that it was the beta who so resembled a blaze.

Others included a couple brown wolves, a couple black wolves, and a white wolf. However, none made such a vivid first impression as the flame-coated beta. Because of this, they seemed to be dull- not nearly as impressive as the striking orange wolf by Anberlin's side.

Nephilim made his way to the source of the howl, looking around at the others coldly as he arrived.

A white and cream wolf he had never met, his sister, a black wolf he had never met, a black, grey, and white wolf he had never met, an agouti wolf he never met, Saosin, Anberlin....

Nephilim rolled his eyes before going to sit next to one of the newbies- the black-white one, with soft blue eyes. Then, Nephilim turned his on Anberlin, waiting for the alpha to make his announcement, his gaze cold and detached from the situation at hand.

yeah! thanks everybody for posting c: there's no posting order. feel free to have your characters leave after this, except for orie because he's stayin ;D

SO UM, Crux Grotto is going from the Washout -> Arch Desert -> High Lands, so feel free to make any threads there. I'll post the arrival thread tomorrow :]

The grey male observed a majority of his pack quickly file in, filling up the space both beside and before him. As expected, Azalia and Saosin had arrived first - Saosin must have been nearby, for the male took his seat next to Anberlin promptly after the call had been made, and Azalia shortly after joined them. He turned his head to look at the two of them, offering a bright smile - of course he was aware of the circumstances that both were dealing with at the moment. However, he felt that the current event that was to unfold before them was multitudes more significant - he would deal with other issues later. For now, Anberlin sat tight and looked back over the gathering, which soon consisted of Josalyn, as well as a few of the newer members, including Gabriel, Cairo and Laudatio, and others.

However, the boy was impatient, and so once Nephilim had finally shown up Anberlin decided that he'd had enough of waiting. Thumping his tail on the ground, Anberlin swiftly rose to his paws and looked out over them, grinning. "My apologies for this impromptu meeting-" He began, dipping his head to those gathered. "but i'm afraid the subject matter could not be pushed to be addressed at any later date. Earlier today, my brother Saosin had returned from the exploration mission that he, Gedeon and Darin undertook." The grey male spoke, glancing at his brother with another proud smile before looking back. "He came bearing good - no, great news for us."

The male had announced, and held it momentarily as he gathered his thoughts, which, prior to this, had been buzzing loudly around in his head. "Unfortunately, the Harbor is still uninhabitable. Until which time that it renews itself, we will be relocated to a newer, safer home. A place called Rescate de Vedi, a canyon amidst the High Lands. We will be setting off for it tomorrow morning, led by my brother." Anberlin announced, nodding his head, and hoping that nobody would disagree - hoping that right now was forewarning enough. "I assume that this should leave you all enough time to prepare yourselves. If you happen to see anybody who hadn't gathered here today, please inform them. If you have any questions, feel free to ask myself or Saosin. Thank you." The boy added, and seated himself again, dismissing the pack.

Something nagged in the back of his head to progress, to announce more things, to tell them more - to tell them about Quil, or to promote ranks, or to just sit here and discuss. However, he remained silent.

Even though Cairo was paying attention as other wolves filed in, he still found himself wishing that he had made a bigger effort to meet other wolves. He knew Saosin, so it wasn't as if he didn't know anyone, but it was apparent the rusty orange wolf was quite busy sitting next to Anberlin. Somehow, he didn't think he would be very welcome sitting so near to the higher ups. Even if Anberlin did seem to be alright with the black brute.

Glancing around him nervously, Cairo's dark teal eyes flitted from wolf to wolf, trying to find someone that at least looked halfway friendly. There was that golden colored she wolf next to him, she looked friendly enough, and there was the dusty tan wolf with emerald green eyes. Still, neither of them were really anyone he thought he might recognize, except the golden she wolf. Cairo hadn't seen many wolves that looked like her, and therefore she was probably going to be the most memorable when it came to names and faces.

Just as he was about to say something to the little she wolf, hopefully to start a friendly conversation, Anberlin began to speak, so the darkly furred brute focused back on the Alpha, soaking in every word. They were moving already? Cairo was pleased to know that he would be around for the move, at the very least, but was fairly nervous about not knowing anyone, and the fact they would be moving already. It'll give you a chance to get to know these wolves. After all, you can always do your duty and look like a good pack member. It'll help you get back into the rhythm of things. Cairo thought to himself, mentally helping brush off the negativity.

Mentally thinking about whether or not he would have anything to bring with him, other than his mind and his own body, Cairo was amused to find that he was already prepared. Perhaps there were some perks to being the new wolf in the bunch. Still, after he was certain that Anberlin had finished speaking, Cairo stood, and dipped his head to the wolves again, before turning to leave. However, before he did so, he flashed a friendly smile to the golden wolf that was beside him, wagging his tail a couple of times. At least he was making an effort to make friends, he supposed.

Exit Cairo!

The wolves began to leave around her going their separate ways and back to their dens to prepare them selves for the journey but Kalin wanted to stay she needed to speak with Anberlin she had not really spoken to him since she arrived here and let her join the pack even them they did not engage with small talk afterward. She really did not know what she was going to say but if she did not speak to him now she would probably not be able to speak with him any time soon. And She did have questions about their new home and well her new home.

So the amber she-wolf made her way throw the crowd and spotted Anberlin he was still sitting next to his brother that was probably staying to answer questions as well but these were meant for Anberlin so she took a deep breath and sighed as she continued to pad forward till she was before the rock he was sitting on, she was nervous and a little scared but she sucked it up to mutter the word"um...Anberlin may I speak with you " you could tell in her tone of voice that she was nervous but she tried to keep her self centered on the out side.

She looked up and Anberlin he seemed to be pondering something but she just waited for him to respond she decided to take a look around her maybe to seem who she might want to meet with next she did really want to get to learn everyone’s name and maybe chat with them time to time. She turned her self till she spotted a brown wolf in the background he seemed to be waiting he was not leaving with the other wolves Kalin decided he was probably here to speak with Anberlin as well.

hurpderp, Orion note: no one is supposed to be able to see him. ;>> he's hiding.

Her eyes traveled slowly as a few more wolves shuffled to join the group. Her jumbled feelings had shifted into place at this point, and she felt more like herself, rather than a horrible confused mess. There was excitement, but she wasn't at all nervous to be here. She didn't bother to speak to anyone, for by the time, she had completed her visual rounds (for future association with names) Anberlin had called out to them all, and the meeting had officially began.

So they were moving! Wonderful! She wouldn't have to spend much time at all around the irritable and snooty Tornade wolves, which was definitely great. All questions were to be directed to Anberlin, but she had none, so she simply accepted this wonderful news, and turned, like many others were, dispersing out to prepare for the journey tomorrow. gabriel out.

The pack was dismissed, and many of the gathered wolves departed, going their separate ways. However, Laudatio remained where he was. After all, he had nothing to do, since he had no one he needed to inform of the news. Besides, a few other wolves had remained, so the grey male assumed it would be acceptable for him to remain behind as well. He turned and gave the brown wolf who had settled next to him a friendly smile. However, the cold, disconnected look in the other's green-gold eyes suggested that friendship might not be in the picture for the time being.

A light brown wolf approached Anberlin, one that Laudatio had in fact seen before. She was a Phi like himself, and she had gotten far too close to the alpha than her rank permitted. Laudatio growled softly, bristling at her lack of respect. He took a few steps towards the female, still angered. The grey brute didn't like the clear lack of common sense that she displayed.
